The Borough employs approximately 40 employees. The Borough’s main office at 115 East 10th Street, is the central headquarters for all services offered directly by the Borough government.
Those services include: police, road maintenance, snow and ice control, storm sewer maintenance, water and sewer system operation and maintenance, maintaining parks and recreational facilities, center, recycling container, inspection services, code enforcement, planning services, and all other administrative services. The Borough is proud to have its own police force, and has found that asset to also be considered as an important consideration to those looking to locate or relocate in Jim Thorpe.
